Attendee Agreement

By clicking the “I Agree” button to complete OTICON 2024 registration, You (“You” or the “Attendee”) agree that You shall attend the OTICON 2024 event (the “Event”), and that You are authorized to accept this Attendee Agreement (the “Agreement”). Accordingly, You and OTICON organizing committee(OTICON/OTICON Committee/OTICON Team) agree as follows:

  1. Event Registration. You shall attend the Event on the date and time, and at Kochi. Each Attendee must register, and accept this Agreement. 
  2. Event Fee. The Event Fee covers your attendance at the Event, as well as your lunch during the Event. To ensure that your registration is confirmed, please make sure that full payment of the Event Fee is received at the time of registration. Your registration is not confirmed until OTICON receives the full payment of the Event Fee.
  3. Cancellation and Refunds. Due to the limited number of available seats and administrative costs associated with the Event, registration fee once paid cannot be refunded. 
  4. Other Expenses. You are solely responsible for all additional costs and expenses related to attending the Event including without limitation, all transportation to and from the Event, accommodations, meals outside of the Event, and other miscellaneous expenses. If you decide to cancel any reservations related to the Event, please note that you will be responsible for any damages resulting from such cancellation.
  5. Communications and Notice. You agree OTICON 2024 Organizing Team can contact You regarding the Event or for any communications related to this Agreement via e-mail, at the e-mail ID provided when You registered for the Event. This includes confirmation of your attendance at the Event. OTICON 2024 Organizing Team is not responsible for e-mail communications that You fail to receive because the e-mail was not delivered due to your e-mail provider’s SPAM or junk mail filters.
  6. Publicity Waiver and Release. OTICON Team may take photographs, and record short segments of audio and video during the Event for OTICON’s marketing and promotional activities. In consideration for your attendance at the Event You grant OTICON Team the right to record, film, photograph, or capture your likeness and to using it for any future Event publicity activity including without limitation any written materials such as brochures and e-mails, and postings to websites or social media, without any further approval from You and without any payment to You.
  7. Privacy Policy. After registering, You may receive e-mail from OTICON's Team about OTICON's Reports, Roadmaps, and other services, including future Events. To ensure all Attendees’ privacy, and to ensure an environment where attendees feel free to ask questions and discuss various business scenarios, you and other Attendees may not record or broadcast audio or video of OTICON's Events.
  8. Unauthorized Marketing. OTICON Team strictly prohibits unauthorized recruitment marketing or unauthorized marketing of any kind during the event. Collecting information of any kind from the event participants without the Organizing Team’s consent is considered unfair and dishonest and is strictly banned during the event.  If the Organizing Team becomes aware of any unauthorized activity, action will be taken against the responsible person, institution, or clinic, which may include ban from participating in the event further. The Clinics/Hospitals/Institutions/Companies interested in recruitment or recruitment marketing are encouraged to utilize the various sponsorship options opened up for the event.  
  9. Additional Terms.
    1. Assignment and Delegation. Neither party may assign its rights or delegate its obligations under this Agreement without the consent of the other party. A party shall not unreasonably withhold its consent.
    2. Merger. This Agreement states the final and exclusive agreement between the parties regarding the transaction that this Agreement contemplates. It supersedes all previous negotiations and agreements associated with the event.
    3. Severability. In the event that any one or more of the provisions contained in this Agreement shall be invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect under applicable law, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions contained herein shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby. 
    4. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. 
    5. Force Majeure. The Event is subject to unforeseen circumstances, such as acts of God, government authority, disaster, or other emergencies, that may make it illegal or impossible for the OTICON Team, or the Event venue, to provide the necessary facilities and host services for the Event, or make it impossible or illegal for the Attendee to attend the Event. If this occurs, OTICON may cancel your registration without incurring any liability, and will notify you via email. In the event that the Event is postponed or cannot be held due to circumstances beyond the control of OTICON, such as those mentioned above, OTICON will not be responsible for any costs or losses incurred by you, such as transportation or accommodation costs. Under such circumstances, OTICON Team reserves the right to decide on the refund of registration fee.
